Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,
In line with the development of science and technology, the challenges facing the world of education become bigger and complicated. The science of education was originally a milestone for the improvement and enhancement of human dignity and values. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has fundamentally changed the human life system in both communication and interaction patterns. This is a challenge faced by the world of education. Through 2019 International Conference on Education and Technology (ICET 2019) (official website: http://icet.fip.um.ac.id) organized by The Committee of the Indonesian Faculty of Education-Department of Education (FIP-JIP) Forum and IEEE Indonesia Section, leaders, lectures, researchers, and all academics from the Faculty of Education and Department of Education can exchange their ideas and experiences related to the development of education science and education policies to solving educational issues and improving the quality of education particularly (but not limited) in Indonesia. It is expected that ideas, thoughts, alternative solutions to problems, and designs for the development of knowledge, roles, and functions of education can be reshaped and put forward. Moreover, ICET 2019 would become an initiate to give birth to steps and strategic programs by providing policy makers to improve the quality of education particularly (but not limited) in Indonesia.

This special issue intends to focus on the researches in a wide variety of education issues particularly but not limited in Indonesia. The topics include but are not limited to:

  • Reorientation of guidance and counselling in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of management, leadership, and education supervision in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of special education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of non-formal education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of curriculum and educational technology in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of primary school teacher education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of early childhood education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0
  • Reorientation of psychological education in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0

This special issue is devoted to invite selected excellent conference papers evaluated by the technical program committee of ICET 2019 held in Batu, East Java, Indonesia on 5th October 2019 (main event date), and participating authors are requested to extend their conference papers to the full-length articles for submission of this special issue in accordance with the Author Guidelines of International Journal of Information and Education Technology. In addition to the selected excellent papers from ICET 2019, this special issue welcomes other researchers around the world to submit their research works related to the subject coverage.
